How much does delivery cost?

Nationwide courier delivery is free - anywhere in South Africa. Our courier of choice is The Courier Guy.

How long does delivery take?

We aim to ship your order as fast as we can, but at most, within 7 working days of successful payment. The Courier Guy, our South African delivery company, will provide you with a tracking number to track your delivery.

*No deliveries on weekends or public holidays*

Why do you need my phone number?

We will need your contact number so The Courier Guy can contact you when your delivery arrives.

Do you deliver to PO Boxes?

Unfortunately not.

All packages need to be signed for on receipt.

Does SHELBY FINDS ship internationally?

Not usually, however, if you are interested in any of our products, you’re welcome to email Sian at info@shelbyfinds.co.za and we will be happy to help.

Cleaning/Maintenance Instructions

How do I care for my Hand Tufted Wool Rug?

*Please keep away from water or moisture!

*Shedding - All wool rugs will shed. Shedding will subside over time, depending on traffic and wear. It typically takes 20-25 vacuums, at a minimum, to curtail shedding. Some will shed for the lifetime of the rug – this is the nature of the fibre.

*Fading - If exposed to sunlight, rug colours typically fade over time, even if they are fade resistant. The African UV is particularly harsh and so we cannot determine the time period before fading occurs.

*Creases - If your rug has been rolled or folded for shipping, it may include creases. Creases should disappear within a week or two when the rug is laid out flat. Reverse rolling the rug overnight will help.

*Sprouting - Certain rugs can sprout where the fibres will come loose, creating a ‘tuft. To remove tufts, use a small pair of scissors to snip them off even with the pile. Do not pull the fiber out, as this can cause a deterioration of the backing.

* Lift, don’t drag - Woven rugs need a little extra love and care. To avoid ‘pull’s, take care when moving furniture over the rugs to avoid ‘pulls’ and lifts in the weave.

*Spills - Clean spills immediately by blotting with a cloth or sponge.

*Professional cleaning recommended, if necessary.

*Do not under any circumstances machine wash or tumble dry.

How do I care for my Kantha Quilt?

*Professional Dry Cleaning/Wet Cleaning highly recommended

 

We regularly test wash our Kantha's and have found that if great care is taken then...

    • Very gentle, short (15 minute) machine wash in cold water.
    • Use a gentle, short spin (no more than 800rpm)
    • Use chemical free laundry liquid.
    • Wash strong coloured items separately.
    • Do not wring or tumble dry.
    • Dry flat away from strong, direct sunlight.

 

Refunds/Exchanges

Please Note: No refunds or exchanges on sale items.

If you are unhappy with your purchase, you are welcome to send the item back to us at your expense, for a full refund, within 7 days of receipt.

We charge a 10% handling fee for processing online refunds on items you choose to return for your own reasons (that’s 10% of the cost of the item being returned).
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items.

All returns must be shipped back to Shelby Finds and we must receive them in 'as new' condition.  
All shipping fees associated with making returns or exchanges are the responsibility of the customer.

In the event of receiving a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item, with photos and proof of purchase.

Shelby Finds cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage suffered by a customer as a result of a product having been incorrectly cleaned or handled. 
Please refer to cleaning/maintenance instructions attached on the underside of the rug.

No claims will be accepted if rugs have been chemically treated after purchase.

No quality complaints can be accepted after 6 months of the date of invoice.
