The Design: Born in South Africa
Collab Collection designs are conceived in South Africa, where we collaborate with local artists to bring our creative visions to life.
From Korean-inspired felines to tropical-themed zebra's, we sketch out each pattern to bring your space to life. Whether you’re vibing with a tiger floor rug, craving a quirky leopard print rug, or just want something that feels fresh underfoot, our collection is designed to make your space pop.
The Tufting: Handmade in Rajasthan, India
Once our designs are finalized, they’re sent to our artisan partners in Rajasthan - home to centuries of rug-making mastery.

What is Hand-Tufting, Anyway?
Hand-tufting is an art form - and it’s what gives our wool rugs their strength and plush texture.
Here’s how it works:

Canvas Prep: A cotton canvas is stretched tightly over a frame. This will become the base of the rug.

Design Transfer: The rug design is drawn onto the canvas as a guide.

Tufting Gun: Using a hand-operated tufting gun, artisans shoot strands of 100% wool yarn into the canvas, one loop at a time, following the design. It’s fast, precise, and requires a sharp eye and steady hand.

Shaping & Shearing: Once the tufting is done, the rug is carefully sheared to create an even pile height and sharp definition in the design. This is when the texture and details really shine.

Finishing Touches: A layer of cotton fabric is glued to the back to give the rug structure and durability. Then the edges are bound and hand finished.
The result? A hand-tufted wool rug that’s soft, strong, and full of character.
