The Monkey Rug - Pink Hand-Tufted Wool Rug

Meet The Monkey Rug in Pink, a limited-edition, hand-tufted wool rug designed in collaboration with Durban artist Shannon Wilson.

Featuring two curious monkeys beneath a tropical palm tree, this vintage-inspired animal rug brings together playful illustration, soft pink tones and an intricate botanical border, finished with a rather charming scalloped edge.

Handcrafted in Jaipur, India, from 100% wool, each rug is individually hand-tufted by skilled artisans.

Part tropical daydream, part decorative floor art, this unusual pink wool rug is made for interiors that don’t take themselves too seriously.

Only five have been made in this colourway. No mass production. Just a small collection of rather special monkeys.

A Rug With a Purpose

The Monkey Rug was created in collaboration with Durban artist Shannon Wilson, inspired by the incredible work of Monkey Helpline, a local organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and protecting vervet monkeys.

For every Monkey Rug sold, R500 will be donated directly to Monkey Helpline to help support the important work they do for Durban’s vervet monkeys.

Just 10 rugs across two colourways. And a little something given back to the monkeys who inspired them.

Good to Know

As with all hand-tufted wool rugs, some initial shedding is completely normal and will gradually reduce with regular care.

Professional rug cleaning is recommended. Avoid soaking or wet cleaning.
